It is not a delivery promise. ## What Suvalkija makes Suvalkija is farming country with a strong export industry. Marijampolė county makes about 2.9% of Lithuania’s industrial output, in food, drinks, textiles, furniture, chemicals, metal and wood. A Marijampolė dairy exports most of its condensed milk, and a window factory in the free economic zone supplies Scandinavia and Germany. Kazlų Rūda has a panel and furniture plant with about 700 staff. Šakiai adds vegetable oil, dairy and furniture, Kalvarija makes flour and bread, and Prienai builds windows and makes mead. Vilkaviškis has fur dressing and sewing. The A5 leaves Kaunas, passes Kazlų Rūda after about 40 km and Marijampolė after about 59 km, and reaches the Polish border at Kalvarija. Via Lietuva counts up to 10,000 vehicles a day near the border, half of them trucks, and is widening the road in stages. The A16 joins at Marijampolė from Vilnius and Prienai. The rail line from Kaunas to Kazlų Rūda, Marijampolė, Kalvarija and Šeštokai carries European-gauge track next to the Lithuanian gauge. Do you carry full loads from Suvalkija to Poland, Germany and the Netherlands? Yes. Suvalkija lies on the main road to Poland, so these loads start close to the border. Can you take a load from Marijampolė, Kazlų Rūda or Kalvarija to Klaipėda port? Yes. The truck goes north on Via Baltica to Kaunas and then west on the A1 to Klaipėda. From Šakiai, a shorter direct road leads to the port. We deliver to the cargo terminals and to the ferries for Sweden and Germany, and our own trucks cover Sweden when free. 3. Can you deliver to the Marijampolė free economic zone from Western Europe? Yes. Benelux and German goods into Lithuania are among our main routes. Inbound trucks reach the zone soon after crossing at Kalvarija, about 40 km from Marijampolė. Give the plant, the gate and the delivery window. 4. How do you handle a Suvalkija load to Norway? With a checked partner carrier and a partner customs broker, booked together. Norway lies outside the EU, so the goods need customs declarations on both sides.
