The Šiauliai–Klaipėda railway, part of the EU core network, has a station in the town. A 2022 feasibility study chose the northern part of the city for a new industrial park. A 5.3 ha site between Karaliaus Mindaugo street and the railway is also zoned for industry and warehousing. A new plant needs building materials and equipment before it starts work.
