The truck drives through Poland on the A1 motorway and enters Czechia near Ostrava. It follows the D1 motorway past Brno and enters Austria at Drasenhofen. Lithuania, Poland, Czechia and Austria are all in the EU, so the truck crosses no customs border. The driving bans of Poland and Czechia also apply on the way. The price we agree includes the road tolls in every country on the route. Austria is one hour behind Lithuania all year. When it is 10:00 in Klaipėda, it is 09:00 in Vienna. The toll is charged for each kilometre. The vehicle needs a GO-Box or another approved on-board unit before it enters a toll road. Since 1 January 2024, the rate also depends on the CO2 class of the truck. Our price includes the toll. Austria has a weekend ban and a night ban for heavy trucks. The weekend ban covers trucks over 7.5 t and trucks with a trailer when the truck or the trailer is over 3.5 t. The night ban covers trucks over 7.5 t. Certified low-noise trucks may drive at night. The rule applies in any weather, with or without snow. In the same period, each truck must carry snow chains for at least two drive wheels. The driver uses the chains only when snow or ice covers the road. Snow can slow a truck in winter.
