The truck drives through Poland and Germany, then through Austria in the Rhine valley. It enters Switzerland near Diepoldsau and follows the Swiss A13 motorway south. It then crosses the Rhine to Vaduz. The trip has one customs border, where the truck leaves Austria. Liechtenstein and Switzerland form one customs territory. So there is no customs border between them, only between this territory and the EU. The driving bans of Poland, Germany and Austria also apply on the way. Swiss customs counts the fee for each kilometre in the Swiss customs territory, and this territory includes Liechtenstein. The fee depends on the total weight and the emission class of the vehicle. The bans cover heavy goods vehicles over 3.5 t, articulated vehicles over 5 t and vehicles with a trailer over 3.5 t. They also apply to trucks in transit. The holiday list differs from the Swiss list. For example, 1 May and 15 August are ban days in Liechtenstein, but not in the national Swiss list.
