Road route from Lithuania to Hungary
The fastest road route from Klaipėda to Budapest is about 1,490 km. The truck drives through Poland and enters Czechia near Ostrava. It follows the D1 motorway past Brno and the D2 motorway to Bratislava in Slovakia. It enters Hungary at Rajka and continues to Budapest on the M1 motorway. Every country on the route is in the EU.
The driving bans of Poland, Czechia and Slovakia also apply on the way. The price we agree includes the road tolls in every country on the route.
Hungary is one hour behind Lithuania all year. When it is 10:00 in Klaipėda, it is 09:00 in Budapest. Give the loading and delivery times in the local time of each address.
Tolls and driving bans for trucks in Hungary
In Hungary, vehicles over 3.5 t pay the HU-GO electronic toll on motorways, expressways and main roads. The toll depends on the distance driven, the vehicle category and the emission class. The carrier pays with a registered on-board unit, or buys a route ticket before the trip. Our price includes the toll.
Trucks over 7.5 t have a weekend and public holiday ban on all Hungarian public roads. The hours change with the season, as the table shows. From 4 November to 1 March, trucks in international traffic with emission class Euro 3 or higher are exempt from this ban.

Documents for loads between Lithuania and Hungary
Both countries are in the EU customs territory, so EU goods travel between them without an export declaration and without customs formalities. Every load travels with a CMR consignment note. Add the invoice and a packing list, so the receiver can check the goods at delivery.
If the route crosses a country outside the EU, the load travels with a transit document. Goods from outside the EU that are not yet cleared also need a transit document. Tell us before loading.

Do I need customs documents for a load to or from Hungary?
No customs declarations, if the goods are EU goods. Lithuania and Hungary are both in the EU, and so are all transit countries on the route. A CMR consignment note travels with every load. Add the invoice and a packing list, so the receiver can check the goods at delivery. Goods from outside the EU that are not yet cleared need a transit document.

Yes, after 22:00. Trucks over 7.5 t may not drive on Hungarian public roads from Saturday evening to 22:00 on Sunday. From September to June, the ban starts at 22:00 on Saturday.
