Eurovignette for trucks in Luxembourg
Luxembourg charges a time-based road fee, the Eurovignette, for trucks of 12 t or more on its motorways. The carrier buys the Eurovignette for a day, a week, a month or a year before the truck uses these roads. The fee depends on the CO2 class, the emission class and the number of axles.

Sunday ban and winter tyres for trucks in Luxembourg
Luxembourg bans trucks over 7.5 t in transit towards Germany or France on Sundays and public holidays. The ban starts the evening before and ends at 21:45 on the Sunday or holiday. Transit towards Belgium and transport within Luxembourg are not affected. During the ban, trucks may also not park on public roads and rest areas.
In winter conditions, every vehicle in Luxembourg needs winter tyres. Winter conditions mean black ice, packed snow, slush, ice or frost. For trucks, winter tyres on all drive axles are enough. The rule applies to vehicles from every country.
