Trucks from the Netherlands and Belgium

Many trucks run from the Netherlands and Belgium to the Baltic states every week. So we can usually find a checked truck for your date. RNJ Transport works with a large Lithuanian carrier that loads many trucks a day in the Netherlands and Belgium.

No truck is certain on a set day, so book early when you can. A flexible date gives us more trucks to choose from.

Full truckloads on this route

A full truckload (FTL) uses the whole trailer for your goods only. A standard curtainsider trailer takes 33 euro pallets, about 13.6 loading metres and about 24 tonnes. The truck drives direct from pickup to delivery. We focus on full truckloads.

Documents and customs inside the EU

The Netherlands, Belgium, Lithuania and Latvia are all in the EU. EU goods move between them without an export declaration or customs clearance. Every international road load travels with a CMR consignment note. Add the invoice and a packing list, so the receiver can check the goods on delivery.

Goods from outside the EU that are not yet cleared need a transit document. Tell us before loading.

Frequently asked questions

  1. What is the difference between groupage and LTL?

Usually little. Both terms mean your goods share a truck with goods from other shippers. Groupage is the common European word, and groupage shipments often pass through terminals. LTL (less than truckload) means any load smaller than a full truck. A part load is a larger share that usually stays on one truck. We focus on full truckloads.

  2. Are Lithuania and Latvia in the EU?

Yes. Lithuania and Latvia joined the EU in 2004, and both use the euro. EU goods from the Netherlands or Belgium need no export declaration and no customs clearance. The load travels with a CMR consignment note, the invoice and a packing list.

  3. Should I send a pallet or a parcel to Lithuania?

A pallet, if the goods are heavy or fill more than a few boxes. Parcel services carry single boxes with weight and size limits. A few pallets go best with a pallet delivery company. RNJ Transport focuses on full truckloads, not single parcels.

  4. Do you also carry loads from Lithuania and Latvia to the Netherlands and Belgium?

Yes, on request. We arrange loads from Lithuania and Latvia to the Netherlands and Belgium with checked partner carriers. Send the route, the date and the load size, and we tell you if a truck is free.

  5. Can you carry chilled or frozen goods from the Netherlands?

Yes, with partner reefer trucks. RNJ Transport does not own reefer trailers, so we book a checked partner carrier with a temperature-controlled trailer. Tell us the temperature the goods need and the loading time. We confirm the truck before you book.
