Raseiniai lies on the A1 motorway, which links Kaunas with Klaipėda port. In Kaunas, the A1 meets Via Baltica, the road to Poland in the south and to Riga in the north. From Raseiniai, other roads lead north to Šeduva and Kelmė and south-west to Jurbarkas. The Šiauliai–Tauragė railway crosses the district, with a station at Viduklė.
For Latvia, the Meitene crossing on the road to Riga is about 139 km from Raseiniai. Trucks for Poland reach the border at Kalvarija through Kaunas and Via Baltica.
