The A12 corridor, the A1 and the railway
Tauragė lies on the A12, the road from Riga through Šiauliai to Tauragė, which belongs to Pan-European corridor IA. The nearest point on the A1 Kaunas–Klaipėda motorway is Kryžkalnis, 35 km away. The railway from Radviliškis to Pagėgiai has a station in Tauragė and belongs to the EU comprehensive network. The district produces more green energy than it uses.
For Riga and Tallinn, trucks can follow the A12 north and cross into Latvia at Meitene, about 164 km from Tauragė. Swedish loads travel on our own trucks via Klaipėda and the Karlshamn ferry.
Šilalė and Kvėdarna
About 4,500 people live in Šilalė, north of Tauragė. Its district makes wood products, furniture and bakery goods, and most of this industry is in Kvėdarna, not in Šilalė itself. The A1 motorway crosses the district, and Kryžkalnis on the A1 is about 37 km from Šilalė. The district has no railway.
We collect full loads of timber, furniture and packed bakery goods in Kvėdarna and Šilalė. Roads from Šilalė lead to Tauragė, Plungė and Šilutė.

Frequently asked questions
-
Do you collect from the Tauragė Industrial Park?
Yes. We collect full loads from plants in the park and deliver them inside Lithuania, to Klaipėda port or abroad. Give the plant’s address, the loading hours and the gate details in the request form. We use our own truck if one is free, and a checked partner carrier if not.
-
Do you carry nets and ropes from Tauragė to Norway?
Yes, with a checked partner carrier. Norway is not in the EU, so the load needs an export declaration in Lithuania and an import declaration in Norway. A partner customs broker prepares both, booked with the transport. The usual route runs from Klaipėda by ferry to Sweden and then by road to Norway.
-
Which road do trucks take from Tauragė to Poland?
The shortest road runs through Jurbarkas, Šakiai and Marijampolė to the Kalvarija–Budzisko crossing, about 155 km from Tauragė. We plan loads to Poland, Germany and the Benelux with checked partner carriers. One contact person at RNJ Transport follows the load from collection to delivery.
-
Do you deliver to Latvia and Estonia along the A12?
Yes, with checked partner carriers. The A12 runs from Tauragė through Šiauliai to the Meitene crossing and on towards Riga, and corridor IA continues to Tallinn. Send the delivery address, the dates and the load size, and we book a truck for the whole route.
-
Do you also collect in Šilalė and Kvėdarna?
Yes. Most of Šilalė district’s industry is in Kvėdarna, where firms work with wood, furniture and bakery products. We collect full loads in Kvėdarna and Šilalė for buyers in Lithuania and abroad. Write the loading address and the time window in the request form.
