Frequently asked questions

  1. Is Gargždai close enough for short port runs?

Yes. Gargždai is about 20 km from Klaipėda by road, on the A1 motorway. We move full loads from Gargždai plants to cargo and ferry terminals, and from the port back to Gargždai. Send the terminal name, the date and the load details in the request form, and one contact person plans the run.

  2. Do you carry chemicals or fertilisers from Gargždai?

Only when they are not dangerous goods. Dangerous goods (ADR) are outside our service. Some chemical and fertiliser products are classed as dangerous, and those need an ADR carrier. Check the product’s safety data sheet, or ask us. Packed products that are not dangerous travel with us like any other pallet load.

  3. Can you take bricks from Gargždai to Sweden?

Yes. Pallets of bricks travel on a curtainsider trailer up to its payload of about 24 tonnes. Loads to Sweden can go on our own trucks, which use the Klaipėda–Karlshamn ferry. When our trucks are not free, a checked partner carrier takes the load. The invoice comes from RNJ Transport in both cases.

  4. Can you deliver pallets of pet food from Gargždai to Kaunas or Vilnius?

Yes. Gargždai is on the A1 motorway, which runs east to Kaunas and Vilnius. A standard curtainsider trailer takes 33 euro pallets. We plan the load on our own truck when one is free, or with a checked partner carrier. After delivery you receive the signed consignment note.

  5. Do you deliver to Gargždai from Germany or the Netherlands?

Yes. Loads from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany into Lithuania are core routes for us, run with checked partner carriers. Partner trucks enter Lithuania at Kalvarija and drive the A1 motorway to Gargždai, or arrive by ferry in Klaipėda. Send the collection and delivery addresses with the dates in the request form.
