Roads from Utena to Vilnius, Latvia and the coast
Utena has two main roads. The A14 runs to Vilnius, about 97 km, and the A6 crosses the city between Kaunas and Daugavpils. Northbound on the A6, the Medumi crossing into Latvia is about 53 km away. Via Baltica at Grenctāle is about 140 km.
For Klaipėda port and the Swedish ferry, trucks drive through Kaunas or Vilnius to the A1. Poland is about 230 km away at Kalvarija.
