Poultry, wood and furniture in Kaišiadorys

Food in Kaišiadorys district means poultry first: two poultry farms work in the town. Wood processing, furniture and building materials make up the rest of local industry, and the town also has a printing house and a tree nursery. Peat comes from Romatas. Poultry leaves chilled or frozen, while wood and furniture travel on standard trailers.

Poultry needs cooling, so a checked partner with reefer trucks carries it. You still book it through RNJ Transport and get one invoice.

The A1 and a rail junction

Kaišiadorys has both a motorway and a major rail junction. The A1 passes the town between Vilnius and Kaunas, and a road runs south to Alytus. EU core rail lines in four directions meet in the town. A Rail Baltica line is planned to pass north of Kaišiadorys, with land work there from 2030.

For Poland, trucks go through Kaunas and then south on Via Baltica to Kalvarija, about 140 km from Kaišiadorys. Latvia is further, about 209 km to Grenctāle.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Can you carry chilled poultry from Kaišiadorys?

Yes. Poultry rides in a refrigerated trailer that a checked partner supplies, and we organise the collection at the farm or plant. Tell us how cold the goods must stay, the pallet total and where they go. Deliveries can be inside Lithuania, in the Baltic states or in Western Europe.

  2. Do you take furniture from Kaišiadorys to Sweden?

Yes. Packed furniture fills a curtainsider trailer well. From Kaišiadorys the truck heads west on the A1 to Klaipėda and boards the Karlshamn ferry. Our own trucks cover the trip when we have one free. If not, a checked partner drives. Give the pallet total and the loading day.

  3. Is Kaišiadorys closer to Kaunas or to Vilnius?

Closer to Kaunas: about 44 km, against about 70 km to Vilnius, both on the A1. That makes Kaišiadorys easy to serve from either city’s warehouses. We run full loads between the town and both cities as well as to Klaipėda.

  4. Can you deliver to the Palemonas rail terminal in Kaunas?

Yes. Palemonas lies in Kaunas, and a rail line also links it with Kaišiadorys. By road, we take export goods to its gate or pick up rail arrivals at the time the terminal sets. You or your forwarder book the train itself.
